Our Volunteers Print E-mail
You can only hardly think of any humanitarian nonprofit organization that would be working without any cooperation with volunteers. Volunteers are those who by their contribution enrich and strengthen the organization's activities. Volunteering is difficult and time demanding. Moreover it needs willingness to learn new things, to help people who might be somehow very distant to Czech society. It is necessary to say that this activity also requires creativity, ideas and energy.

A volunteer may gain a lot of useful life experiences thanks to his or her activity. In addition to the fact that while working with refugees the volunteers meet people from different cultures, they can also individually work with the clients and be supportive in their crucial times. While volunteering they realize what is necessary for dignified life and they can consequently fulfill some of refugees’ needs.

OPU highly appreciates and regards the volunteers who help its clients. As the proof of this fact we have acredited our voluntary activities at the Ministry of Interior. The volunteers undergo special opening training, get insurance and are supervised throughout their performance.

We cooperate with a law firm Linklaters, Lycée francais de Prague and International school of Prague on activities for leisure time of people who lives in asylum centre Straz pod Ralskem.

Our program is running because of cooperating and support of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
